I’m a Taranaki based artist creating contemporary abstract paintings inspired by the stunning wild landscape on the west coast of New Zealand.
I choose colours, textures and layers to recreate the sense of stillness, space and freedom to encourage time to pause and reflect.
Areas in nature that offer distinct contrasts, transitions or experience extreme change like coastal, river, lake and mountain environments often inspire my compositions and colour choices. My work brings alive a new way of looking at nature, and a deeper appreciation of the landscape and encourages a sense of connection.
